The brand began long before its name existed, in a small basement where a mother made sure her three sons always looked sharp.

Before prototypes, before a barbershop, before clippers of our own, there was a chair, a mirror, and a mother cutting her children’s hair. She cut the Founder’s hair until he was 17, when he chose to create his own look and express his own vision.

That spark began even earlier. At 15, he started cutting hair himself in that same basement. What began as creativity became a passion, one that outgrew school, outgrew expectations, and eventually replaced his original path in architecture.

Choosing the craft fully, he opened a barbershop and spent over eight years behind the chair. There, he learned what professionals truly demand from their tools precision, power, durability, ergonomics, and trust and what customers rely on to care for, shape, and define their look.

Traveling overseas revealed how global manufacturing really works how the biggest brands produce their clippers, trimmers, hair products, and accessories. Instead of being impressed, he saw opportunity.

An opportunity to build something better.

To build something different.

That clarity shaped Aura’s mission: premium performance, innovative design, advanced technology, and accessible pricing created to elevate the craft.

In 2023, the Founder assembled six partners, including barbers who had worked alongside him for years. For nearly two years, they tested, redesigned, refined, and rejected anything that didn’t meet the standard.

The philosophy was simple:

If it doesn’t elevate the craft, it doesn’t belong in Aura.

On November 1st, Aura officially launched not just as a brand, but as the continuation of a story that began in a basement, with a mother and a pair of clippers.
